Llamar

His Mercy

Is swifter than horses

Even those tasked with traversing sand.

His Mercy

Is more tireless

Than birds who have migration

In their nature and must fly by night.

His Mercy

Is swifter than the tear

Plotting a course

To the desert rose

Of your lips

As you weep before the One

Who made you.

He is so grateful

For your return in repentance,

That your tear is

Beyond a value sum of preciousness:

But I would add that

Your tearful trust is like rain

And the prayer you plant

Begins an oasis

On the landscape of your face

Which God made

(And will make) beautiful

In tribute to your

Oft-cleansed soul.

As you pray.

Do not lose hope.

He never once turns away.
